What the changes will involve:

The 2012 editions of Biozone’s workbooks for NCEA Biology introduce a full revision to meet the requirements of the new (2012) Level 2 Achievement Standards and implement full curriculum compliance at Level 3 in preparation for the introduction of these standards in 2013.

In a shift from previous editions, Biology for NCEA Level 2 will be organised under an Achievement Standards framework, while fully embracing the four Living World strands of science curriculum. These revisions retain their focus on the achievement of scientific literacy, while emphasising engaging contexts and encouraging an interdisciplinary approach so that critical conceptual connections are made between key content areas.

In both volumes, content will be organised to focus on the achievement criteria for each standard, with opportunity for extension as appropriate.
